TOP TIPS: HIGHLIGHTS
-
DO NOT jaywalk. This is taken very seriously here and you will likely get a ticket
-
Most people under 40 will speak a form of conversational English (at least in the major cities)

The currency here is Polish Zloty (meaning gold, lol). Luckily, most places do take credit card so don't worry about carrying a lot of cash.
TRANSPORTATION
-
Warsaw Public transportation is fantastic and it's affordable. You can ride the metro (subway/tube), buses, trams (streetcars), and more

Normally Zone 1 is enough
-
You have a variety of ticket options, including short term, 90 minutes, day passes, weekend passes, family passes and. more. Make sure that your ticket is validated and doesn't expire until you leave the bus/tram/metro (the time shows on the back of your ticket once you validate it)
-
Tickets purchased on the tram/bus don't normally require additional validation. Tickets purchased at kiosks require validation in a yellow machine on the bus/tram.
